Tucson Shooting: Ron Barber tours memorial

I was sent to Tucson to cover the Gabrielle Giffords shooting. This is one of a handful of packages I turned that week. I also contributed to multiple text stories, including the first account from the intern who staunched the congresswoman’s blood and helped save her life.

Border Patrol’s latest tool: Deterrence

I went to los Dos Nogales to report this with the border beat reporter. This was back when the AP let packages drone on for 4:13 with two (count ’em, 2!) reporter stand-ups for the right story. That one in front of the courthouse was shot in 109F heat!
